Trampoline Accessories Season

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Well the Summer has come out to play at least a few days this year for us, let’s hope it keeps up and we get a decent year this year. However saying that i was sitting outside in the back garden last night and the sun came out and i was inspired to write this blog.

What i have always found fascinating is that in our little village community is a little family that live opposite from us. They have 4 children in the family of varying ages from 2-6 years respectively. What’s interesting though is just how much those children use their trampoline. We sell trampolines for a living and are naturally biased by our own geeky outlook on life through the eyes of trampoline fanatics in the sense of how do people live without trampolines? But after 2 years of living the area it still never ceases to amaze me how much the children play on that trampoline. It was pouring with rain the entire day yesterday, unexpectedly though out of the blue the sun suddenly shines and everything clears up and we have a beautiful summers evening. As predicted out come the children straight onto their favourite toy, my wife and I were just amazed at how they just play for hours on end, not necessarily bouncing. But the little Hot Wheel Cars come out and they start ramping them around and playing cops and robbers within the net, it’s just incredible the amount of versatility the trampoline can offer the young mind.

The point of this post really is, I was just surprised as to how popular the trampoline is in general. So wit that in mind i thought i would go through a refresher on how to keep your trampoline fit.

Fortunately very few things go wrong with trampolines and so it’s just mostly about keeping them dry, clean and protected from extreme weather elements while not in use. Here’s what we recommend in our Trampoline Accessories section.

First things first, the trampoline cover is essential.

Have a browse through the Trampoline Covers section for a decent trampoline cover. Why a trampoline cover though you may ask? Well trampoline covers are essential for the protection of the trampoline pads and trampoline bed. The sun and frost in winter if you leave it out all year gradually deteriorates the material of the trampoline parts over time and so we recommend keeping the trampoline covered when not in use to prolong the life of the trampoline.

If you just getting your trampoline out for the first time this season, fully inspect the trampoline padding as that is usually the first thing the mice go for. If they have destroyed the trampoline pads you can purchase a new set relatively cheaply from TrampolinePad.co.uk our sister company who specialise in trampoline padding.

Trampoline Safety Enclosures or Trampoline Safety Nets whichever you prefer are always a big factor as well. These are imperative to your child’s safety and should be carefully examined before and after every season. If the net is showing any wear at all or has become brittle from the suns rays we recommend replacing the unit. It may seem costly at the time, but it’s not worth the risk otherwise in our eyes. There are a range of universal fitting Trampoline Safety Nets on our sister site at great prices at the moment.

Trampoline Beds or Trampoline Mats, once again whichever term you prefer can be replaced over time. Generally though these parts of the trampoline are hard wearing and don’t get replaced very often. Be careful though when purchasing your new trampoline mat as they need to be exactly the right size with the same number of springs otherwise you will get a soggy bed or a super tight bed which is an accident waiting to happen.

Trampoline Ladders are a firm favourite for the younger generation as they really are a great asset when you are that short and trying to get onto your favourite past time. There are a variety of Trampoline Ladders on offer here: Trampoline Ladder

That about wraps it up on the essentials, trampoline accessories are an essential for any trampoline owner, but can be a bit of a grudge buy. That’s why we are here to try make things easier and make sure your trampoline is kitted out properly.

What sized trampoline should I buy?

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

It is important to consider a host of important factors before buying a trampoline, as different sizes offer different advantages and disadvantages to the user.

8ft trampolines are usually fairly cheap, but they are only really suitable for younger bouncers, due to their size and weight restrictions. 10ft trampolines are suited to older bouncers but still have the same limitations of an 8ft trampoline, although they do offer a more responsive bouncing experience as  a result of the larger number of springs.

A 12ft trampoline is a much more long-term option, with some models suitable for multi-user bouncing and the larger number of springs helping to offer an improved bounce. 14ft trampolines are designed for heavier and more experienced bouncers, with the increased number of springs generating a more advanced and enjoyable bounce.

It is important to consider the long-term implications when buying a smaller trampoline, it could work our more expensive when you think about the cost of purchasing a larger trampoline in the future.

Trampoline Size Break-Down

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Here at Etoys Zone, we are mad about trampolines, which is why we are so focused on ensuring that people have suitable trampolines for the person using it. This article will offer a break-down on which sized trampolines are suitable for people of various age groups.

8ft Trampolines: 8ft trampolines have a fairly low specification and feature less trampoline springs than larger trampolines, making them ideal for junior bouncers.

10ft Trampolines: 10ft trampolines are also suitable for junior bouncers, but offer a more responsive bounce as a result of the higher number of trampoline springs.

12ft trampolines: A 12ft trampoline offers a better bounce than the two smaller options. 12ft trampolines are much high specification and some models are capable of taking the weight of more than one user.

14ft trampolines: A 14ft trampoline is designed to offer a fantastic bounce, offering a large number of trampoline springs and a high specification.
