Choosing the size of your trampoline can be just be just as hard as choosing the brand. With thousands of shapes and sizes available it can be difficult to actually know what to buy and you can often feel lost in a sea of information. To help you decide we have written a little list of things to consider when choosing the size of your trampoline.

Firstly it is very important to access who will actually be using the trampoline. If you have a young family it is probably best to get an 8ft or 10ft trampoline as they are specifically designed with the younger market in mind and have the benefits of lower frame height. The 8ft to 10ft trampolines are also much cheaper than the larger sized trampolines and if your children do not like using the trampoline you will not have wasted a great deal of money. It is also important to note that the 8ft trampoline is designed to be used by only one child at a time; this means the trampoline is much safer as most injuries occur when multiple children are bouncing on the trampoline.
On the other hand if you have an older family such as teenagers and above you should only consider the 12ft and 14ft trampolines. The larger sizes have a higher maximum weight limit and although many trampoline clubs strongly advise against they are large enough for two or more people.
If you have a range of children from very little to older teenagers we recommend looking at a 12ft trampoline as it will allow for the older children to bounce easily with plenty of space yet has a less powerful bounce than the 14ft meaning younger children will be more stable when bouncing.

The next aspect to consider is the size of your garden. Remember when placing your trampoline make sure you have at least 3ft of space around the trampoline to allow for bouncers to safely enter and exit the trampoline. Also when choosing the area choose a flat level section of ground which is preferably grassy and away from sheds or low hanging tree branches.

The last main section you should really consider is price how much do you want to spend. By choosing a larger trampoline that is of poor quality means the springs will wear out sooner, the framework will rust quicker and the pads will soon deflate whereas by going a size smaller you could get a trampoline that is of much better quality and will last for years. A great tip is to try and find less well know trampoline brands as they often have great specifications and are very safe but as they are less well known you do not pay for the brand name. A great example of this is our Skyhigh trampoline range and our Xtreme 360 Trampoline series both have great specs are safety tested yet because they are still relatively unknown they still have a low price tag.
